Microsoft FrontPage: How to Create Beveled Wooden Buttons
In this Microsoft FrontPage tutorial I will show you how to create beveled wooden b
uttons. Please see the image that I have provided to see the out come of this tutorial. These wooden buttons have a beveled look. They are not hard to make. After you create the first button, you can copy and paste the other buttons. Go ahead and open your FrontPage program and we will get started.
How to Create Beveled Wooden Buttons in Microsoft FrontPage
Step 1 - Drawing the Button
Go to the top of your FrontPage window and click Insert > Picture > Auto Shapes. Your Auto Shapes toolbar will appear on your page. Click the Basic Shapes icon in the auto shapes toolbar. Then click on the Bevel shape. Roll your mouse over the shapes to see the names of them. Draw your button on the page. You can draw it any size that you want.
Step 2 - Apply the Wooden Effect
The next step is to apply the wooden effect. Click on the button to select it. Go to the bottom of your window and click the little arrow beside the paint brush. Click Fill Effects when the menu pops up. The Fill Effects box will open. Click on the Text tab at the top of the box. You will see the different textures in the window. Scroll to the bottom of the window. Click on the last wooden box. It is called Medium Wood. Then click the OK button to apply the effect.
Step 3 - Apply a Border
Next, we will apply a border to the button. Click on the button to select it. Click the little arrow beside the paint brush at the bottom of your window. When the menu pops up, click the color black. Next, we will change the size of the border. Click on the Border Style icon at the bottom of your window. Click the ¾ pt line. You can choose another line if you want too.
Step 4 - Creating the Other Buttons
Now you are ready to create your other buttons. Right click on the button that you just created and click Copy from the menu. Right click again off of your button and click Paste from the menu. Use your mouse to drag the button below the original button. Continue doing this until you have all of the buttons that you need.
Step 5 - Adding Text to your Buttons
