Anna Nicole's Baby Daddy Is...

After 6 months of waiting and debating on DNA tests, Court TV announced that Larry Birkhead is the biological father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter Dannilynn. The results were released from a courthouse in the Bahamas earlier this afternoon. Media affiliates waited like vultures hanging on to catch any bit of anything they might be able to assertain as a result in either direction.

It could have swung either way Larry Birkhead or Howard K. Stern, both of which were held in addition to Anna Nicole's mother Vergie Arthur in gag orders regarding the case. Although Birkhead was very positive upon his arrival to the courthouse this afternoon. In fact, he had brought a few of his family memebers with him for the reveal of the DNA results.

Those following the case know that Howard K. Stern was adamant in deterring the process, relying on every loop hole he could find. Whether it be for personal fear that Dannilynn was in fact not his daughter biologically or some other alterior motive. Howard K. Stern is listed as Dannilynn's father on the birth certificate and has raised the young girl since the passing of Anna Nicole Smith.

The results will impact not only the custody of Dannilynn, but the fate of Anna Nicole Smith's estate as it goes along to Dannilynn. Anna Nicole's estate is said to be worth $475 million to which Dannilynn would be the sole heir as her only surviving child. It will also determine where the girl will be growing up.

It was also made known today that custody of Dannilynn will also be more in depth than what was possibly anticipated. Autopsy reports regarding substances found in Anna Nicole's system proved that Dannilynn was exposed to elements that will be detrimental to her cognitive development.

Guardianship proceedings to lead to the eventual custody placement of the girl are expected to begin as early as tomorrow morning. Sources speculate that the original agreement will be that of temporary guardianship moving towards joint (whether it be costodial or not) or sole custody in the future.
