I had a dream. Yes, that's right, I had a dream. Not to rip off the late great Martin Luther King Jr., but I felt I needed to share some information I came across the other day. I woke up one morning
and had an interesting dream where I was worried that shampoo was invading my brain and causing me to do things that I would normally not do. Sort of a mind controlling device the government was using to brainwash us all. So I guess out of curiosity, or for maybe no reason at all, I decided to look into the ingredients in shampoo. So I looked it up on the internet. I found myself at the feet of one Mike Adams who I believe to be some sort of freelance writer, not a scientist or in the medical field whatsoever. I found this article located at NewsTarget.com. I won't quote him but the article essentially covers the dangers of shampoo located in one particular ingredient methylisothiazoline, also known as MIT. Now stop reading this for one moment and everybody check there showers. Yep, I knew it. I did the same thing. It's in every single one of the products I currently use in my home. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health have linked this ingredient to nervous system damage. They conducted the research on mice where they found to be a correlation between MIT, and neurological damage.

Being someone that has done the research and development of NATURAL products for years, I have to disagree on this article. This article is based purely on opinion and little scientific research. Shampoo is not dangerous to your health and the surfactants used are safe. There are MANY types of surfactants used in shampoo. Anti-Persperant does have raised concerns, but again, the data is inconclusive. I suggest doing more research from reliable sources instead of sources with an agenda, as there are many on the internet. This article is way off.

Kasey, I hate to jump on you on your first article, but you are wrong about aluminum zirconium being in deodorant. It is in antiperspirant. The difference is antiperspirant plugs the pores to stop perspiration. That is what aluminum zirconium does. A deodorant, well, it just makes you smell nice. I'm not saying there aren't any harmful ingredients in deodorants, just that it does not contain aluminum zirconium. Did you know shampoo companies doubled their sales by using one word? The word is found in the directions. Repeat. Good luck with your writing.
