Stain Remover Review: Tide to Go Didn't Get Me Anywhere
It never fails. Whenever my husband and I go out to eat, specifically to Chili's, one of us gets some sort of food on our clothing. We dab it with a napkin, trying to wipe it up as best we can. Inevitable, it stains. So, when I had the opportunity to review Tide To Go Instant Stain Remover
, I jumped at the chance. I knew that Craig and I would put it to good use.
PACKAGING
The packaging for Tide To Go is pretty simple. It is just plastic over cardboard backing. The trademark Tide logo in yellow, orange and blue is on the front. There are three little pictures depicting how the stain remover is used. Above the pictures is a circle that reads "Helps eliminate many fresh food & drink stains." Notice that it doesn't say "Eliminates," but says, "Helps eliminate." Notice, too, that it says "many fresh food & drink stains," not "all." I did not expect this to be any sort of miracle worker for our messiness.
Finally, the following cautions appear on the front:
CAUTION: Keep out of reach of children. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice.
The back of the package is a flat, cardboard panel with the Tide logo and colors, and more directions on how to use the Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover. There are no ingredients listed on the package. However, there are hints about the ingredients:
Ingredients include biodegradable cleaning agents. CONTAINS NO PHOSPHATES.
Everything on the packaging is written in English and in Spanish. If everything on the package doesn't help you understand how to use Tie To Go, you can always call 1-800-879-8433 or visit www.tide.com.
Personally, I think that the packaging is a bit much. It can easily be wrapped in plastic with the little instruction sheet. This would save Procter & Gamble on packaging costs, and lower the price of this product.
