Your kids will be asking soon if they can go to camp. If your loacated in Road Island, here are some camps to check out. These camps are popular and also a lot of fun. Your children will want to return year after year.


Camp Jori
Wakefield, Rhode Island

Boys and girls can come to this camp. This is the only Jewish camp located in Rhode Island. They have different set programs for different age groups. All children will take party in a variety of activities and great events. They will learn many things while at this camp including self confidence, friendship and valuable skills they will use for a life time.

ALl the kids will get to compete in special events such as the camps own olympics, apache relay, hanging rela, gold rush, scavenger hunt, carnival, swim meets, tournament days, crazy days, lazy days and treasure hunts.

Some of their daily activites will include: basketball, boating, tennis, general swim, swim instructions, water polo, water aerobics, volleyball, canoeing, sailing, arts and crafts, soccer, theatre, folk song, tetherball, kickball, archery, rollar hockey, dances, campfires, movies and game night.

For the older kids there is a great program. It's called the LIT program. This program is designed to teach the older kids a combination of community service, team building, leadership skills, development, interpersonal relations and fun activites. A lot of kids will go through this program will want to return as a camp councler whne they are old enough.

Alton Jones Camp

This camp is for one week long for boys and girls. The camp is located on a historical farn, 75 acre lake, 10 miles of hiking trails with lots of trees and wild flowers. Campers are seperated by age into co-ed field groups and single sex cabins.

Some of the activites will include: swimming, conaoeing, learning about farm animals, some light farm chores, gardening, greenhouse, cooking, hands on far, activities, arts and crafts, many sports and more traditional camp activites.
