The Black Donnely's may be cancelled.

NBC has some either incompetent or just plain careless executives. Finally, a violent show that's about the Irish and not the Italian Mafia.

Don't get me wrong, I've got Irish pride and the Italians I've met are easy to like, but NBC had an original idea and they move it to the deathbed of primetime TV-Fridays. So they told us. Since yesterday's episode was only available for viewing online, I logged on and watched it, only to see the top of the page which read "online only." It's better to have a good show on the most dreaded day of the week (Monday) than show it online where it won't be watched by any viewers that aren't already fans.

Maybe NBC's gotten cocky, riding the success of Deal or No Deal and suddenly thinking they know what gets ratings. A false assumption, considering that Howie Mandel of all people gave them the idea for that show, earning the nickname of Jesus on the NBC lot in doing so.

Whoever's atop the NBC corporate ladder is going to doom him or herself to repeat their history of realizing, "We used to have Seinfeld," if they decide to stop producing and airing new episodes of "The Black Donnely's."
