The farm, buildings, and holdings have been in the family for seven generations. It can trace its history back two hundred years.

2) Barren Ridge Vineyards located at 984 Barren Ridge Road Fishersville, VA 22939

This winery is ran out of a converted apple barn which gives the tasting room a very unique feel. They welcome visitors with open arms.

One of their must try wines is their 2007 Merlot which retails for a very reasonable $18 per bottle. This Merlot is a very nice wine and will improve with age.

Another of their excellent wines is their 2007 Petit Verdot which retails for $25 per bottle. This wine shows you exactly the excellence that is being produced out of Virginia nowadays.
