I'm sure we all remember the Choose Your Own Adventure series from back in elementary school. Night of a Thousand Boyfriends is not a Choose Your Own Adventure book. Technically this book is not even from the same company as Choose Your Own Adventure books, it is A Date With Destiny Adventure book. This is a grown up Choose Your Own Adventure book.

Plot
You get to choose the plot. The decision you make on every page determines your fate. Will you end up with a hot boy, will you end up with a nerd, or will you end up with a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream at home on your couch. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find the perfect blind date. Your friends will try to set you up with guys, guys will approach you when you are waiting to meet your blind date, and many other obstacles will come your way.

Some of your obstacles will include: getting mugged, running out of money, having to pick between hanging out with your roommate or going out with your ideal guy, waiting for your late blind date or going for the exceptional bartender who has been hitting on you all night.

So...
Will you end up with your dream guy? I have not met a good ending yet so hopefully this book is no reflection of what will be my experiences with men in the future. There are a thousand (literally only 24 considering that the book is only 135 pages) options of an ending and only you can choose your fate. With all those options you have no reason to not read it over and over again, unlike most regular books.

This book is a great read for college aged girls who do not have time to get into a "real" book. Every read-through takes around 15 minutes leaving plenty of time for your Calculus homework.

I would love to receive this book as a gift from one of my girlfriends and some of them will be receiving a copy for their birthdays already. It is a lot of fun, it takes no time to read it, and it is cheap. I got a copy for about $10.00, but I have recently seen a copy of this available for even less. If you like Sex and the City, you will probably like this book.
