Using everyday skincare methods such as the ones here will not only give your skin a healthy glow but will save you money as well. Healthy skin does not have to cost a lot of money and you do not have to apply chemically enhanced beauty products to your skin to have healthy and beautiful skin.
Some natural skincare tips for healthy and beautiful skin:
Bananas are not just for pudding and pies. A banana face mask moisturizes your skin and will leave it with a soft feeling. To make a banana face mask, simply take one nicely ripened banana and mash it up in in bowl. Stir it around really well so that it forms a smooth paste. Apply this banana face mask paste to your face and neck area and allow it to remain for about 15 minutes, then rinse.
Lemons have a variety of natural beauty benefits for the skin. Use lemon juice on your face to clean and exfoliate. Soothe a poison ivy rash and itching by applying lemon juice to the affected areas. Remove unwanted warts by applying lemon juice with a cotton swab to the wart for several days. Soften dry elbows by applying a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda to the elbows for several days.
Salt is a wonderful way to exfoliate the skin. Adding half a cup of salt to your bath water leaves your skin feeling extra soft. You can also use dry salt on damp skin for an invigorating exfoliation. Adding a tablespoon of salt to your shampoo gives your scalp a nice workout.
Soothe away puffy eyes from the morning wakeup with potatoes. Slice a cold potato into slices and apply to your eyes for a few moments. Cold zucchini slices also work great and leave your eyes unpuffy and ready to face the day.
If you are in the mood for eggs, don't scramble them. Instead use the egg for a soothing facial mask. Beat the egg and add a touch of honey or lemon juice if desired, and apply to your face for about 30 minutes and then rinse. Your face will feel fresh.
