'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Knight Bus Tour' Schedule Announced

The build up to the release of the final Harry Potter book 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' continues with the announced of the 'Deathly Hallows Knight Bus Tour' schedule today.

In a press release by the U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter books, Scholastic the tour locations for the promotional event, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Knight Bus Tour' was announced.

The Knight Bus tour will stop at 37 different libraries around the United States. The special bus created to simulate the popular triple-decker bus of J K Rowling's story will launch its tour in New York City on June 1. After that the Knight Bus will spend seven weeks stopping a the 37 libraries on the schedule. The final stop of the 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Knight Bus Tour' will take place on July 21 in New York City at the Scholastic head office as part of the official launch celebrations. The book will be officially released at 12.01am on July 21, 2007.

The Knight Bus tour will be a celebration of the Harry Potter fandom, a fandom that loves to discuss everything about the books. At each library fans that visit the bus will get the chance to climb on board and make a special video of themselves talking about the Harry Potter books. A selection of videos from the tour will be available on Scholastic's Harry Potter website for everyone to watch. Please see the resource section for the link to this page. Everyone that makes a video will be have the chance to see their video online as each person will be provided with a special username and password.

Speaking in the press release, the head of Scholastic Trade and Book Fairs, Lisa Holton, said, "We know that one of the most incredible things about Harry Potter is the amazing discussion that it ignites among fans of all ages. The Knight Bus tour is the perfect way to let fans from across the country share their Harry Potter experience as they await the conclusion of this remarkable series."

Scholastic says that it chose the 37 libraries in such a way as to make the tour accessible to the most amount of people.

When is it coming to Buffalo? I heard on NBC that it was... yet the tour dates stop at July 9th or so... Where is it going from the 9th to the 21st? Where is the rest of the schedule? if anyone knows, could you please email me at storm610@gmail.com thank you,

I don't get a stop near me either. Though I imagine they wouldn't be touring college campuses ;)

I just did an overal, it wasnt as in depth as this! At the time not too much was known about the tour. They had only basic dates. Yeah whats up with the Dreaded Downrater? How is it even possible to do that? It must be a swarm of people, no way that one person can have that many computers at their disposal...
