Reading a good book every now and then has it's benefits. Ignoring the obvious benefit of enhancing your reading level, reading books have been shown to reduce stress levels and improve relaxation. The only problem is that a day of relaxation can quickly come to an end if you have to drive to the library or store to get new reading material. The internet solves this problem very easily, as there are a number of websites where you can get free books to read online or delivered to your door! Here is a list of websites where free books are available:

Project Gutenberg:
Free books are definitely available here at Project Gutenberg. Project Gutenberg is known as the leading producer of free e-books on the web. They mainly focus on books in the public domain. The good thing is that many great classics are in the public domain, and there are over 20,000 titles available for download! With such a selection, finding a suitable book isn't going to be an easy task. Visit the top 100 page for the highest rated books. You're bound to find something you like.

EBookSpyder:
Got an itch for some technical information? EbookSpyder focuses on techncial manuals and books. If you like to code websites and applications, this may be the website for you. There are over 6000 books available, including some of the classic "Dummies" series of books.

Google Book Search:
There are a lot of things you can get free from Google. E-mails, websites, and now free books. The Google Book Search is a very popular website to get free books. One of the biggest perks about Google Book Search is the fact that the interface is designed around appearing to be an open book.

Book Mooch:
Book Mooch is a bit different as it is more of a free book share. You open up an account and place books that you have up for share to earn points. You can redeem your points to get the books you want in return. So, you are getting your free books, but you'll have to put your own books up to be shared also. The books will be delivered straight to your door!

Very cool and thanks for this! I get free books online and paid to read them by leaving an Amazon review. :-)

Blackmask (http://blackmask.com) still hasn't recovered from its legal problems, but it is slowly coming back to what it was - the best site for books on the Internet.
