Mother's Day Gift: Journal Memory Book

If you are looking for a unique way to please your mother on Mother's Day, please take a look at my following journal entries. Last year, my brother and I decided to dedicate a Journal Memory Book to our mother. We brainstormed many different family occasions that we could remember and wrote them down. We then typed out our personalized memoirs and put them into a gorgeous journal from the local bookstore. We added some pictures at the end of the journal for visual images. If there is more than one child in your family, just ask each child to write their recollection of each category. If you look at ours, you will notice my name after my writing, and Dave's after his writings. This way, your mother will be able to reminisce about each child individually. After the presentation of the book, my mother was full of bittersweet tears. She couldn't believe what a masterpiece that she received. The wonderful thing about doing something such as a Journal Memory Book is that it only costs a fraction of the price of an ordinary material gift.

A Holiday Memory with Mom...

There are a few holiday moments I remember. The first is being in Florida with you, Dad, Dave, Gramma, and Grampa. I believe we went to the Moose Club for an Easter dinner/dance and I remember D.J. dancing like a little man on the floor with all the old ladies. He must have been five years old. I remember how hard we laughed. I also remember a few Christmases ago, before I was pregnant, sitting in the hot tub with you drinking Kaluha and Milk. It was snowing outside pretty heavy and Jay and Dad were inside playing XBox. I just remember how relaxing and beautiful it was.
