The University of North Texas (UNT) Art Gallery in Denton, TX presents a Rainmakers Workshop through May 3rd.
The Installation art/rainwater catchment system is by Daniel Bozhkov at the UNT Art Building at 1201 W. Mulberry Street and the workshop is free.
The event, which started March 14th, is located one block west of Mulberry and Welch Streets. This is Bozhkov's first major survey exhibition. The Bulgarian-born New York artist installed the work Feb. 26th. He gave a lecture at the campus March 13th and 14th. The display brings together seven of the artist's work from the last ten years.
The exhibit includes Eau 'dErnest, a perfume inspired by writer Ernest Hemingway. The event is supported by the Andy Warhol For The Visual Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation.

Another artist of a different sort is Cliff McClelland, who, during the school year is the Richardson High School theater director in Richardson, TX. But the rest of the year he loves making people jump with special effects exploding onto the screen as his know-how shows in Six Flags Over Texas shows. The result? They're a blast when he flips a switch and holds down a button, and bright orange propane-fueled flames shoot high in the air.
"Director and producer Robert Keith said that spectacular special effects in movies set the bar high for live-action shows such as those at Six Flags," said writer Jennifer Arend. "There are 700 high falls per season (at Six Flags)."
Performances each season number 115 and the Shafter, TX water tower involved is 11 feet high. Two water cannons also make up the equation.
Art also comes in the form of music for some, like two musical siblings who are a triple threat in piano and violin in Collin County, TX. Rex Huang, 15, and twin siblings Celeste and Ryan Huang, 11 of Richardson, TX have studied piano and violin since age six and piano since four. The twins recently competed against each other in a competition.
The kids have been classical music fans since they were in the womb.
