The Organization fo Activist Students(http://www.impeachbush.tv) was busy handing out Impeach Bush and Cheney fliers on the campus of Los Angeles City College. They believe that since President Clinton was impeached for lying about sex than surely George Bush and Cheney should be impeached for the war that they started that has resulted in the loss of lives in both nations.

Their reasoning according to the Website are as follows:

1. Bush lied to Congress and the American public about the reasons for invading Iraq.

Bush and his team deliberately misled Congress and the American public about the rationale for invading Iraq. Bush convinced a majority of Americans that Iraq was involved with Al-Qaeda and responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Yet the evidence shows that Iraq was not involved. Bush said in his State of the Union Address that "The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa" to build nuclear weapons. But he had already been told by the CIA that the evidence was forged. Bush claimed to have hard evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. But the UN investigators could not verify any of these claims and searches of Iraq revealed no such weapons. The real reason we invaded Iraq may have more to do with the fact that Iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world, and sits strategically in the center of the Middle East.

2. Bush conducted illegal wiretaps of American citizens.
George Bush authorized the NSA to conduct illegal wiretaps on American citizens. Bush claimed that these were justified on the basis of national security. But there is a legal mechanism for conducting emergency wiretaps followed by court approval within 72 hours. Bush ignored that mechanism and exceeded his executive authority. Bush claims he has authority to wiretap anyone he wishes but a federal judge ruled that his actions are unconstitutional.

Takeaways
  • George Bush violated the Geneva Conventions by targeting civilians.
  • George Bush violated the Constitution by using "signing statements" to defy hundreds of laws.
  • George Bush violated the law by obstructing honest elections in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006

Another great article! I agree completely...I also think that either he or his brother (gov. of florida) were in on the election mess in 2000. I wonder how many american's thought that it was "interesting" and more than coincidence that it was the ballots in Florida that were "not counted correctly" and had to be recounted?

There is propaganda alright and as shown by a couple of comments above people are buying it. A little resarch about the Bush clan will give evidence why he is a danger to the citizens he was elected to serve. He could be impeached due to the election fraud that helped him win his elections. I do not know if GWB is the head man or just a pawn in a larger web of evil. (I should refrain from reading comments, sigh.) This is a great article because it is reporting without giving a hint to how you personally feel about the issue.

So George Bush has done the wrong thing evey step of the way ,,,,,hmmnn. I don't get it, People treat the president as if he is more dangerous than People who have sworn to wipe us off the face of the earth. People who have wiped a good bunch people off the face of the planet. Bombs and airplanes and be-headings and mass graves...Countries developing nuclear weapons that have sworn to destroy us..., So if George bush did nothing at all, people would be happy?...I for one, am glad he's my president. He may not be perfect, But he is doing What absoutely Has to be done, in the best way he knows how....

I do agree Bush should be impeached, but have one thing to point out. I'm originally from East Tennessee about 50 miles from Oak Ridge, which is where the bomb was built that was used on Japan. A few years ago, it was on the East Tennessee news that materials were brought in from Iraq and were being stored in Oak Ridge. These materials were materials used to build nuclear weapons. This is news that was covered up by mass media, but couldn't be covered up where it was happening. But I do completely agree that he should be impeached :) Great article.
