A Smoker Violated: Social Segregation and Smoker's Rights

You know times are bad, when a community is targeted for extermination. As a smoker, I am at the very heart of this epidemic sweeping the nation. Ohio, as of now, has banned public smoking. The real humor is how the state is handling this whole mess. Of course, the state does not want to ban smoking completely. They make way too much money off of us. Many look at us with contempt, like we are monsters, when they notice a cigarette in hand. There is always a chance you run into somebody who wants to give you their piece of mind everyday. Hilarious!

Go ahead, blame us for all your problems. Oh, my god, you are killing me. Whatever happened to religious conviction? If I am not mistaken, we do not choose when we are going to die, at least, that is what they tell us in church. I really place a lot of blame on the fear tactics used in the media today. After all, tell me how many times you see a commercial advertising the negative effects of smoking and second hand smoke. My god, what are people doing every time they start their cars? Then you have people making faces when they smell the smoke on your clothing. There are a lot of colognes and perfumes that nauseate me, however I do not try to insult them.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on what is right and wrong. Smoking is the bane of society, smokers are the primary reason our health insurance is increasing, smokers do not care what people think, smokers are lazy, smokers waste too much time, and countless other reasons appear every day. This is where I have to step up and take a stand, since this is way out of control.

This time I am going to point out obvious other legal tie-ins to this whole debate.

1)As far as health care is concerned, why not just ban all fast food chains? After all, the last time I heard heart disease is one of the leading killers in the United States. Oh, we cannot forget to start banning public tanning and tanning facilities. These are the leading causes of skin cancer, which are far more likely to appear when we are much younger than other forms of cancer. We have to start banning the automobile industries and oil companies too, since they are instrumental in the destruction of the ozone.
