Summertime is a great time to get out of the house and spend time with your family. The cost though with fun summer activities can add up. This summer why not check out these two great summer activities in and around St Louis, Missouri that are offered for free.

Grant's Farm:

Grant's Farm sits on 281 acres of wildlife preserve. Grant's Farm is located just south of the St. Louis city limits and is owned and operated by Anheuser Busch. The 281 acres that make up Grant's Farm is home to the Busch family estate, Grant's Cabin, the Clydesdale Stables, Deer Park and even a petting zoo.

The Clydesdale Stables are located outside of Grant's Farm, adjacent to the parking lot. The Clydesdale Stables are always open to the public, allowing you an up close look at the majestic Clydesdale horses.

To enter Grant's Farm you will board a tram that will take you through the park, getting you within touching distance of 100's of different exotic animals. These beautiful animals roam the grounds freely and without confinement.

Along your tour of Grant's Farm the tram will stop at the Bauernhoff. It is here that you will get a chance to look at the first building to be on the estate, the Busch's world renowned carriage collection and stables and even a Bavarian Courtyard where you can dine. Beer is free here for anyone over the age of 21.

While stopped at Bauernhoff, don't forget to walk over to the petting zoo and check out what they have to offer. Many educational programs are scheduled throughout the day. This is the area of Grant's Farm where you will probably spend the most time since it is here you get to play with the animals.

There are many more buildings and activities that you can take part in at Grant's Farm but I won't go into those. You will just have to go check out Grant's Farm for yourself.

Also while Grant's Farm is free for admission there is a small parking fee that you will have to pay.

St. Louis Science Center:

Another free summer activity in St. Louis, Missouri is the St. Louis Science Center, located in Forest Park.
