Without the military, the United States would not be a free country today. We have people who fight for our rights and die everyday for the sake of their country. Some people choose to go into the military for great reasons while others, choose to go to just explore the world. Whatever reason that y
ou choose, the ultimate decision is up to you. This is a list of five reasons as to why you should join the military.
Fight for your country:
Your family is patriotic and so are you. You have been waiting for that moment to show this country what you are made of by fighting for our rights in the military. The things that the military has accomplished, just amazes you and you want to be a part of it.
Fighting for your country is something that you should decide. If you think that you are ready to join the military and that the reason that you want to join is so that you can fight for your right as a United States Citizen, then you should go for it if it's what you want to do.
Education is worth it:
The military will pay for your education. This was the number one reason that I wanted to join the National Guards. I wanted an education and they were going to give it to me. I decided not to join after my youngest child became sick and I started thinking about my children. I made my choice but I would have loved to have had the education that they were going to provide for me.
Not many other places will pay for your schooling the way that the military does. If you are looking for a way to be able to afford to go to college, then the military would be a wise decision to help you get your education paid for.
Getting paid for serving your country:
The sign up bonus is nice and so is the initial pay. Don't think that you will go in and come out rich for joining the military because this will not happen. The military will give you a nice sign up bonus that is paid in parts. You will not get the sign up bonus up front. The reason that they do not do this is because to many people would be taking the money and running with it. Instead of giving it to you as soon as you sign up, they give it to you in usually two parts. One part is when you finish your training and the other is when you finish your term.
