If you have ever been curious as to where the business related writing markets for you are, this article will give general overviews to what some of them are looking for on business writing submissions. Each market will give submission guidelines and contact information for the business magazine.

The Business Journal was established in 1983 and has a circulation of 13,200. They pay on publication and accept queries by email. They buy 300 nonfiction pieces a year from 700-2,500 words, and pay $175-$400. They suggest calling or emailing and let them know you're interesting in writing for them.

Entrepreneur Magazine has a circulation of 540,000 and pays on acceptance. They have a 60% freelancer written status. They take nonfiction in How to, profiles, current news, and trends. They buy 10-20 manuscripts a year, averaging 1,800 words and the payment varies. Entrepreneur Magazine also has columns that are 300 words in length and pays $1 a word.

They will pay on acceptance, a huge plus to freelancers. MyBusiness Magazine likes nonfiction in the genres of book excerpts, how to, and new products. They buy only 8 a year, averaging 200-1,800 words, and pay $75-$1,000.
