At first it's not all that noticeable. An outgrown sweatshirt here, a too-small pair of pants there. But then the piles just grow. And grow. And grow. Over time, it seems there are more clothes in your house that nobody can use, then there are clothes that they can! This is particularly true in homes with multiple children, especially when the children alternate in gender, making it tougher to pass down the clothes to younger siblings. When your five year old daughter grows out of the thirteen dresses you bought her last Summer, it's not like you can really hold on to them for your son who just turned two! So before you waste another day stressed out about the clutter and hating those useless Islands of Misfit Clothes, consider one of these options!

Keep It In The Family - Quite possibly, there are younger children somewhere in your family who could get some use out of the clothes your children have outgrown. The parents of your childrens' cousins might really appreciate a bag or box of clothes now and then to use for their own children.

Yard Sale - Countless parents love to shop at yard sales for kids' clothing, especially play clothes. I know what you're thinking, "A yard sale is way too much work!" And truthfully, a full scale yard sale really can be a lot of work. But when it comes to clothes, if you throw them all in a box with a sign that says "A quarter each", or "Fill a bag for $1", you'll be rid of the old clothes in no time, with no hauling it off yourself, and a few extra bucks in hand!

Ebay - Although selling clothes on Ebay can be a lot of work, there are many people who earn money this way. If you enjoy Ebay, this might be the perfect solution to your growing piles of unneeded clothes.
