Being a university student is a demanding lifestyle, and one needs to know and understand how best to manage their time while on campus. College life is not all fun and parties, drinking games and such, students need to learn how to buckle down and prepare themselves for the rest of their live, but
many lack the knowledge of time management. A student needs to be able to have time to study, work, socialize and most importantly sleep, and it all start with good time management skills.

Keep a planner or some kind of organizer on you at all times. Schedule your main priorities a month in advance, or more if need be. Be sure to know when exactly you have study groups, work and extra classes or labs. Doing this will give you a basic idea of when and where you need to be at any given time. Also make sure you know when special events you plan to attend are going on so you can plan around them, you don't want to completely ignore your social life!

Working is a very important part of your life as a student, after all you have to find a way to pay back all those loans right? So see if you can work for an individual store owner or find a place that is flexible so you can work on days that correspond to your set schedule. Obviously you can't work during a Micro-Biology class so make sure your job fits into your School life.

Don't just totally miss out on all the fun things college has to offer by being a hard working stiff, you need to relax too! Be sure to schedule some "me" time into your life. Parties are great and can be good for socializing with other students, but don't let them run your life. Many students end up failing to achieve their goals due to too much partying and so you should be wary not to fall into these traps.

"Me" time can also be spent away from others. You may need some time away from your peers in order to relax, so make sure you have some time set aside to just be alone. Read, jog, take a nap, whatever just take some time to be alone. Also this may be a good time to work on some extra studying, so make sure to get full usage of this time.

An average person needs at least 8 hours of sleep, and most doctors actually reccomend 9 or more!
