Dark Chocolate Raisinets Are Even Better Than Regular Raisinets
A few months ago I stopped in a convenience store on my way to the movie theater in an effort to have a movie time snack while avoiding the gouging of movie theater prices. I grabbed a pack of raisine
ts, my movie chocolate of choice, and I was on my way. As I sat in the darkened theater, chocolate-covered raisin delight running around in my mouth, I had the thought that there might not be a better treat in the world than the chocolate covered raisins that are sold under the brand name of Raisinets. The only thing, I thought, that could possibly make a better Raisinet would be dark chocolate, which is just a personal preference of mine.
A few weeks later, I was in a Best Buy seeking good tunes and viewing pleasures, when I spotted something glorious. "New!" the box read. It called to me. I practically tripped over my own feet getting to the display to grab up two boxes. I did not need to taste them to know for sure. I knew, I just knew, that dark chocolate on raisins under the brand name of Raisinets would in fact be the greatest treat ever placed on this planet. And I could not have been more correct.
With the health food revolution that is taking place in the United States as we speak, dark chocolate is suddenly an "in" thing. I, for one, am grateful for the sudden bombardment of dark chocolate products on the marketplace, including dark chocolate remakes of many of our tried and true candy products, such as Raisinets.
So dark chocolate Raisinets are out there now; and I have now tried them. They did not disappoint me. I would even dare say that they are better in taste than their milk chocolate counterparts.
