Lizzie Palmers Video to Honor Soldiers Shows Where the Hearts of Our Country Are At

Ever do something for someone and you figured that they would really like it, only they didn't? Ever give someone a gift and you knew it wasn't exactly what they were looking for, so they said, thanks, but it felt like, "uhh?" Here is chance to give someone a gift, that will be appreciated, that wil
l have value beyond the gift, and that will keep giving back to you.

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Palmer, 15 year old from Columbus Ohio has authored a "You Tube" presentation that is sweeping the nation, receiving 2 million hits to date. The young lady appeared on Fox News this morning, 13 April 2007, and she was humble, and said "I never expected this kind of response." When asked why she did the video, she said it was because she had friends and friends of friends who were in the war and she wanted to honor them.

The value of honoring a soldier cannot be overemphasized - and Lizzie has done us all right when she put her sentiments on this marvelous video- it represents our hearts as a nation; for the most part. Oddly in America we have had for many years a divided soul, we love our soldiers, they are, and after all, our families- but sometimes we don't love the conflict they are in. Some make a bad choice to dishonor them; really, by choosing to express their dislike of the conflict against the soldiers fighting in it- this is an error which reflects 180 degrees different upon them, than Lizzie's video does on her.

Why does a video like "Remember Me," receive so much attention, it's not the video, it is the subject of the video- Lizzie put the truth in the screen, these soldiers- they are our family, our friends, our lovers, our neighbors, and deep within the soul of our nation must reside a statement that every practically every American can finish: "He said: Love your ____________ as yourself." The neighbor that Christ addressed is the neighbor we love, and they are over there fighting a fight so we won't have to. To honor them is to honor your own hearts desire for them to be honored, and its right to do so.

The Pat Tillman video (last link) is so very touching - Your article is right on Dana and it would be good to see more honor and care for our soldiers.
