Jimi Clanton Speaks Out

Jimi Clanton is outraged by the recent controversy over the comments made by Don Imus earlier this week. Clanton has created his own website to speak his peace. The website, www.nappyheadedhos.net, which is currently receiving hundreds of hits per hour,
Black Man Creates Nappy Headed Website
tells it like it is!

Imus made statements about the women on the Ruckers basketball team and used words that some consider offensive. Imus has since been fired due to the controversy. Clanton's website, currently just one page, is scheduled to go live on Monday, April 16, 2007.

Blasting everyone who took offense to Imus's comments by telling them to take a good hard look at themselves, the music they and their children listen to, and the television programs that they watch, Clanton uses the "N" word to prove his point. He then follows it by stating "Chill out, I'm black, I'm allowed." Clanton points out the double standard in America, saying that blacks can call themselves any derogatory term they desire, but if a white person says the same thing then all hell brakes loose.

Clanton mentions rappers like Ludacris and 50 Cent, pointing out that their lyrics use these derogatory terms and that Ludacris even has a song titled "Ho's". Clanton, a black man himself, says that black people surely have problems, but the white man is not the entirety of it.

Clanton intends to post the hard core lyrics of rappers on his website for informative purposes. He wants parents to see the lyrics to the music their children are listening too. He wants to make his statement known. Clanton's subtitle to his home page reads, "This site is dedicated to the truth you may not be used to hearing!"

Clanton's intent was originally to have his site go live today, April 13, 2007, however due to technical difficulties he has changed the date to Monday. Clanton has a small following since being mentioned on national talk radio yesterday by Phil Valentine. The website currently contains no contact information for Clanton.

V-Tech, of course, threw the whole Imus issue to the backpage. This was a grand opportunity for black and white america to have a good laugh at ourselves together.
