So, you're having a 4th of July party! You came to the right place to get some great ideas for the best party ever! It is not too soon to start planning and preparing; as there are some things you can do now toward getting ready for your party. Here are some of my ideas and I hope you will add any that come to mind so everyone can get lots of great ideas from this article! Happy Birthday, America!Decorations:
Anything patriotic, patriotic themed party decorations and party favors are easy to find everywhere. Glow sticks, glow in the dark jewelry, pinwheels, star shaped dishes to put the food in, sparklers to put on cakes and desserts when serving, red, white and blue twinkle lights in bushes and everywhere, patriotic napkins, poppers for kids to pop, the choices are endless, depending on how much you have to spend and how much time you have to hit different stores. I recommend dollar stores first, and party stores second. If you are lucky enough to have any outlet stores in your area, you can get some great deals there. Think birthday party, and red, white and blue!
Food:
You will need to set up some tables with kid's swimming pools or shallow storage bins full of ice to put the cold foods so they don't go bad. The best way to save money is to supply a few items and ask guests to bring a dish to pass. Whether you are supplying the entire menu or assigning guests with some of the responsibilities, here are some great food ideas for a 4th of July party:
Fluffed meat and buns
Find some patriotic dishes and dispensers for the condiments and make your sandwiches the hit of the party! If you can't find patriotic dispensers you can always get some plain ones and decorate them with patriotic stickers. Get patriotic saran wrap to cover the plates of meat with to keep the flies off. Another idea is the little food tents; you could decorate them as well.
Potato Salad
If you make your own, I prefer it with some ranch dressing and some real bacon chunked up in it. It is the very best potato salad I ever had! I know the party I had it at it was such a hit everyone was talking about it and asking for the recipe. Since then, it is the only way I make mine!
