I wanted everyone to know about a new scam going on. This is important for everyone to know. It happened to me, but I new it was a scam, some may not.
I received a text today from 1234 stating that my debit card had been suspended. They gave me a number to call. 1-877-504-4105. I was sure it was a complete scam, so I called.
The number goes to a automated service. The service asks for your debit card number, expiration date, and pin. I called and gave completely made up, ridiculous numbers, and it says my card is now active again.
Please let everyone you know about this. Especially older individuals, that are new to texting.
There are to many scams out there, and they need to be stopped. If you ever get any messages saying they are your bank, call your bank directly. You also may go to there web site. Do not give any personal information through email, or text. If this just helps one person, I will be very happy.
