Is it Time to Boot Rosie O'Donnell Off the Air?

Recently former House Majority Leader Tom Delay opined the following in the wake of the fall of Don Imus: since the Left was successful in taking down Don Imus, it was time for good conservatives to take down Rosie O'Donnell.

There are, on the surface, excellent reasons why one should never want to hear Rosie O'Donnell's voice or see Rosie O'Donnell's face every again. In her latest incarnation, Rosie O'Donnell is a cohost of a day time show called The View, which consists, in theory, of four women pundits
sitting around and chatting about happenings and issues of the day. Very often, though, The View consists of Rosie O'Donnell, her face contorted in a Medusa-like mask of hate and rage, ranting the ravings of a mad woman while people look on aghast and the studio audience, enjoying the freak show, hoot their appreciation. Every time Rosie O'Donnell opens her mouth, Barbara Walters, a serious journalist who put together The View, looks as if she wants the earth to swallow her up.

For instance, Rosie O'Donnell has recently opined that Tower 7 of the World Trade Center was taken down by explosives, not by the effects of two fully loaded and fully fueled airliners hitting the two main towers. Why this was done, Rosie O'Donnell has not actually stated, but the implication is that (a) the White House knew in advance what was about to happen and so (b) conspired to make things worse so that (c) the Vast Neocon Conspiracy would be justified in going to war against Islam and taking their oil for the glory of Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, and the President's oil buddies. Or maybe, as Rosie O'Donnell suggested in her blog, it was done to cover up corporate scandals, as if there was anything left to cover up. Popular Mechanics has pretty much refuted every one of Rose O'Donnell's arguments, but Rosie is not deterred.
