Description:

The Boston terrier is a smaller breed of dog. It has a short - rough - fur coat of only two colors: black and white. Most of its body is white, which is accompanied by large black spots. The spots normally congregate on its complete backside and back legs. While its nose is white, it also has two la
rge - black spots on its face (one on each eye.) Both ears are normally black, too. Boston terriers have short stubs for tails (they're minx.) The face of a Boston terrier is square - like. They have big - brown - bulgy eyes. Pointed - tall ears are also their forte.

Height:

The height of a Boston terrier usually does not exceed over 17 inches high. Both male and female can reach 17 inches, but the female normally only reaches 15 or 16 inches high. Males, on the other hand, are usually never shorter than 16 inches.

Weight:

The weight of your Boston terrier will mainly depend on you and the personality of the dog you buy. The healthy weight for a Boston terrier is 10-25 pounds (4.5-11.3kg.) Your Boston terriers' weight should never be less than 10 pounds and shouldn't be more than 3 pounds above 25 pounds. Stay in these weight limits for a healthy Boston terrier.

Temperament:

The temperament of your Boston terrier will depend on the breeder. It is very important to get to know your dog before buying. Read bellow for more info:

The original Boston terrier breed was bred for one reason and one reason only...to fight. Many people would battle their Boston terriers with one another, so they would go to breeders that would rough - up the pups starting at only a couple weeks of age. By roughing the pups up, the breeder would make the dogs more aggressive toward their own kinds and people.

Today, many Boston terriers are being bred with gentler attitudes. The average Boston terrier is well mannered, very smart, less aggressive (gentle), and alert. Boston terriers are also very rambunctious and enjoy running a lot.

WARNING: Be prepared to walk if you buy a Boston terrier. Everyday walking is needed unless you have a fenced in yard where they can run without you.
