Once upon my midnight's tears
He sought after my doubts and fears
Crept into my minds darkest night
Filled me with horror and fright
Once upon my midnight's pain
He held my heart beneath the rain
Let it's acid sear straight through
He spelled his name tried and true
Once upon 
my midnight's face
He cornered me in time and space
Pushed me into heat and fire
I screamed and kicked, but he did not tire
He scraped his nails across my skin
And boiled my blood from within
Beady eyes stared me down
Leaving my soul to remain unfound
Once upon my midnight's eyes
He left me broke but more wise
