The Top Ten hard to fill jobs, as reported by U.S. employers to Manpower are:
1. Sales Representative
2. Teacher
3. Mechanic
4. Technician
5. Management - Executive
6. Truck Driver
7. Driver - Delivery
8. Accountant
9. Laborer
10. Machine Operator
According to a press release found on Manpower's website (us.manpower.com,), the positions are difficult to fill, but they are also difficult to get hired for. Jonas Prising, President of Manpower North America, was quoted as saying "With the variety of positions employers are struggling to fill, it seems like job seekers should have little trouble finding work. Yet on a daily basis we hear from clients who can't find the right people for open positions and candidates who are struggling to get hired. The reality is that the talent crunch is more complex than a shortage of people. To bridge the talent gap, we must dig deeper and consider issues such as skill levels, geographic dispersion and demographics."
