One of the great things Barbara Walters has done in her long career in television is The View. Gathering four women of different ages, views and cultural backgrounds certainly breathes new life to television. Imagine four women of different age groups and statures discussing about one topic of interest. It will really stir up a storm during the mornings of your TV viewing life. These women embody the beliefs, opinions and views of different women and they are all brave enough to speak the unspeakable that flows in everyone's minds. The View is a platform to express these kinds of things and every woman in this show will talk it all out. Be it idealistic or negative, odd and bizarre, humorous or tactless, these make the show interesting and fun.

A lot of people throw negative comments to the hosts of the show but in reality, these contribute to the mystery and positive ratings of the show. They watch the show and scrutinize the hosts and the show gains exposure because a lot of attention is called by these watchful eyes. People may not like every woman who speaks up in this show but they are bound to like one and associate themselves with one. These women represent a certain group in this world. There are the brutally honest, the smart, the intellectual and the young idealist. It is fun to see how these groups mesh together and discuss one topic from a particular point of view or stand point. It may seem like everyone is a know it all but at least every group has a representative.

It is called The View for a reason. It is about the views of different people on one topic. It's a joy to see one topic from four different points of view all at one time. Come to think of it, the strengths and weaknesses of this show balance out each other. The strong comments of one and the radical beliefs of the others is toned done by humor and the conservative ideals of the others. It is amusing to see how the energy is kept in a high level throughout the show. It surprisingly gives a light heart aura to the heavy topics and injects humor to the topics that lack luster.
