Crossville, Tennessee Comes Alive for the Annual Oktoberfest
Every second weekend of October, hundreds of Tennesseans make the 75 mile trip south on Interstate 40 to the small southern city of Crossville, Tennessee to celebrate the area's annual Oktoberfest. This year promises to provide top notch German cuisine as well as authentic Bavarian music. There are a number of fun filled activities that the entire family can enjoy. This year's festivities begin on Friday, October 9 and the gates open at 11:30 AM. The celebration runs through Saturday, October 10 to 9:30 PM (or whenever the final keg is drained). Tickets are available for $6.00 if purchased in advance from Joe Guzek (more information is available at the Crossville Oktoberfest web site http://crossvilleoktoberfest.com/default) or $7.50 at the door for a one day pass. The preferred hotel accommodations of the Crossville Oktoberfest are available at the Crossville La Quinta Inn.
