Nothing on TV? Well Check Out TV Land, Where There is Always Something On!

Finding late night programming is hard enough, but have you ever tried to find something decent to watch at five or six in the morning? Many people like to catch up on news and watch shows like Fox and Friends, and so on but I find news to be rather depressing and so always look for alternatives. In my Quest for finding good programming I ran across TV Land, a cable network owned by Viacom and a part of the Nick series of channels. Now I too love TV Land.

The programming is all older shows, extending from the 1980's back but it's all great. I love watching the re-runs of Star Trek while eating breakfast and during the day if I have nothing better to do Gunsmoke, Little House on the Prairie, and a host of others dawn my television. All these shows are great throwbacks to one of the greatest era's in TV history and are a great alternative to the junk that fills the airwaves this day in age.

TV Land also has a variety of original shows. These focus on actors, or actresses that have either stared on or are currently starring on popular shows. Robin Williams had made a few appearances along with many other famous TV personalities, like Ed McMan. It is true that these original shows may not be as great as some other programming on, but they are interesting to watch every now and again.

Probably the best thing about TV Land is the fact that there is always something on! You can never go through your TV guide and say "There is nothing on television" because TV Land always has something decent on. Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith, Gilligan's Island, M.A.S.H. and so much more fill up the time slots available so no matter what time of day or night you happen to be channel surfing you can be sure to catch an old classic, and every Friday they air a classic TV Land movie.
