Summer Activity or Simmering Activity !

Once the school closes for summer vacation we can see so many advertisements popping up at every corner of the newspaper, magazines and posters. Are the kids interested in these summer activities ? To be frank. No. They don't want to indulge in any such activity. They want to enjoy their life. Play, play and play. They want to play for the whole day. Parents are not hesitant to spend a few hundred note bills to get their children engaged with some creative activity. What I feel at this juncture is ..... It is the time for the parents to spare some time for their children. If both the parents are working... the idea of a summer class looks fine. But, I don't want my daughter to be slogging once again in these classes. I would like to plan my days with her. I would like her to relax and have a good sleep. That is the first thing that will help her to maintain a good health and save energy for the days at school. She is eager to help me in my cooking and make me try new recipes. She always insist me to stay at home during her holidays and spend some time with her. Both of us like our evening stroll to the nearby shops. We will not be purchasing anything, but that small stroll helps us to build our energy levels. In the evening I teach her whatever I know. Craft work, crochet or knitting. We even read stories together. We spend our time playing in the computer or listening to songs. I help her to try her hand in drawing using paint or flash. I get her the color pencils or crayons and let her draw whatever she loves to draw. This is a time that will help both the children and the parents to strengthen their bonds and understand each other better.
