The deadliest shooting rampage in United States history has left 31 dead on the campus of Virginia Tech earlier today.

The incident is the deadliest shooting incident in US history, surpassing a 1991 shooting in Killeen, TX, which left 24 dead.

The shooting occured in the West Ambler Johnson dormitory and Norris Hall engineering buildings on campus. According to police, the gunman had been heavily armed and began shooting up the hallway in the room in a search for his girlfriend. According to a woman speaking on CNN, the gunman had an altercation with her, and when her resident advisor came in to intervene, the gunman shot both of them. He then continued his rampage, firing into the air and inside classrooms, and in the end, the incident became the largest incident ever. The shooting returns the thoughts of the massacre at Columbine High School, which left 13 students and the two gunmen dead eight years ago this Friday.

The university was on lockdown through April 17, with classes cancelled and the campus evacuated.

This is horrible! if you look at the school shooting history, you will see that every shooting happened shortly after the last and since this was the worst, there will be somone wanting to top that. hopfully nobody will be stupid enough to attempt this knowing that sschool security is goin to step it up a bit!
