Ebony Sky

Warped memories return, they play over and over for me to remember the pain
I can pause each one wherever I'd like marking the madness from which it came.

Deserted in life I wish to meet no one and twice as many to speak with, again
embedded in agonizing thorns I rustle through roses searching for an end, shall I soon win?

Cursed times I thought I may actually be blessed but the joke was on me
bloody tear drops fall down my cheek, destruction I seek, help me outrun the cost and let this soul flee.

Grind the bones slowly until they crumble to dust I long to reach into darkness for eternity is where I'll never grow old
days linger and nights lurk my head constantly hurts as my body becomes cold.

Voices shouting everywhere they're calling out my name
pointing fingers as if I'm the only one here that is to blame.

Conspiracy overwhelming, overweighing my petite structure breaking down my will to go on
still awake, I am left to greet this blackened dawn.
