You are going to your school. Stop for a minute and look around. Everywhere you can see concrete buildings that scroll up to the sky and the black tarred roads. We are all living in a concrete jungle. If you are going to ask your student to write about this concrete jungle they may find it boring. Suggest a topic that will help them to come out and write with a cheer. Ask your student to write a descriptive paragraph. If the student belongs to the elementary school they may need your help. Think about some interesting topics and help them to write.

I am going to assign my student to write a descriptive paragraph. The student is asked to write a descriptive paragraph about the school garden. The school garden is a place which they see daily. So, it will be easy for them to write a paragraph on this specific topic.

To begin with ask them what do they see daily when they get up out of their bed. They must tell what are the first things they see daily in the morning. They can tell you about the different types of birds they watch at the garden in the backyard. But for the students who live in apartments and be satisfied with the tiny sprouts of greens in the hanging pot in their balcony. They may have few creepers that wind around the window grills and look into their study room. This may not be sufficient to write a descriptive paragraph. To let their imagination grow a higher level, you can ask them write about their school garden or about the park near their apartments.

Tell the student that when they start to write a descriptive paragraph they must write how things looked. They can write about the shape of the garden, the swings, the pathway, the fountain in the middle of the park and also the flowers, plants and trees in the garden. They can write how the flowers looked beautiful with different colors.

They can also write about the cool breeze. They can write about the songs of birds and also the blue sky. They can write about the different types of trees and plants which they used in their science project. They can write about the fishes swimming in the big water tub that has a fountain in the middle.
