Partnering with NVIDIA, the world's leading motherboard manufacturer, Elitegroup Computer System (ECS) has today announced the release of a series of new generation, performance-class DX10 graphics cards: N8600GTS-256MX+, N8600GT-256MX+ and N8500GT-256DY+.

Derivatives of the G80, the first graphics chip to support DX10 in the industry, these three new products from ECS deliver to gamers an extreme gaming experience with breathtaking realism but at a reasonable price tag. Taking advantage of video playback functionality, the new ECS solutions release the full potential of NVIDIA's PureVideo HD and H.264 hardware acceleration features and HD decoding technologies to provide perfect 1080P full HD Video effect.

Compared with previous generation GeForce 7900/7600 products, the ECS GeForce 8600/8500 series introduces the all-new DX10-compatible unified shader architecture instead of the traditional pixel shader (PS)/vertex shader (VS) separation design, subsequently simplifying the design process for game designers and dramatically enhancing the performance of these graphics cards when used with the latest games.

The ECS GeForce 8600/8500 series products are fully compatible with the 128Bit HDR+FSAA. Furthermore, the HDR effect of each channel has reached FP32 full floating point precision, supporting the unique "HDR+MSAA" and "HDR+CSAA" features - a functionality and effect that was almost impossible to realize on the previous G7x series. Applications developed around DirectX 10's architecture will be able to deliver images with vividness and fine quality that have never been seen before with previous desktop multimedia APIs. The ECS GeForce 8600/8500 series also provides full support for Windows Vista.
