Tucked away down 6th Street off of Washington is one of Hoboken's hidden treasures, Court Street. This restaurant is magnificent and it is conveniently located in midtown near the city's main drag. Here is a review of Court Street in Hoboken, New Jersey. Court Street was a weekly haunt for me during my eight years in Hoboken. Though everything on their menu is very good, I usually stuck to the filet mignon, which is one of the best cuts of meat in the square mile city. Whether you want to dine casually in the bar area, or more formally in the dining room, Court Street offers the perfect setting for your tastes. I normally dined right at the bar, where the friendly bartenders tend to your every need.
The service at Court Street is impeccable, and the atmosphere is a delight. The prices are incredibly reasonable considering the amount and quality of the food they are serving. Most dishes range between ten and twenty dollars. The drinks are strong and delicious. Be sure to save room for dessert, because hands-down, Court Street offers the best desserts in Hoboken.
During the weekdays, Court Street isn't very busy, and the tavern offers a relaxing, laid back atmosphere. The weekends do see some crowds, but it's never too packed that you can't stretch out and enjoy yourself. As I mentioned above, Court Street is one of Hoboken's hidden gems, since it's not really visible from Washington Street.
My friend John (who I most frequently dined at Court Street with) says of Court Street: "Court Street is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Hoboken. They serve huge portions, and it's not all that expensive. The have a wide selection on their menu, and I have yet to have a single bad meal there. Five stars, thumbs up, etc., etc."
My friend Jill says of Court Street: "Oh, I love Court Street. It's cozy and the food is delicious. I prefer to dine in the dining room for dinner, but the bar is great for lunch or an early supper. The service is really good, too. I do certainly recommend trying Court Street."
