The salt and water mixedAnd slid down my cheek
Before I could catch it.
The process continued throughout
My ride home as I remembered
Your lips forming words
That should have never mixed
Together.
I listened to everyone of those
Words, then. And I could comprehend
Them since I have a Webster's, American
Heritage, and Random House.
I replied with one word back to you,
No.
Your words came through again loud
And clear, followed by actions that couldn't
Be misinterpreted in a body language book.
I again replied with one word back to you,
No!
Do you have a Webster's?
American Heritage perhaps?
Random House?
Did you get a blue light special?
A really old copyright?
I figured you would understand the word.
I thought it existed in every language and
Every dictionary imaginable.
That's why I chose that one word.
