It looks like Insignia has done it again with their amazing products. They have just recently released a new LCD widescreen television for an unbelievably low price. However, it isn't the price that is amazing, it is all of the features that you get for that price - plus the standard that all Insignia products are made to. I am talking about the Insignia 27" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV, Model: NS-27LCD.

One of the greatest features about this television, is the resolution quality. This TV has a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, as well as a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. With this combination you will be watching movies and television like you never thought you ever could - especially for the price of the television. And with the contrast ratio being 1000:1 you will receive a brilliant picture every time you turn the television on. There is even a comb filter feature that improves the color and edging detail of the picture, which will make the image even more breathtaking.

The sound of this television is also amazing! They have installed a lower stereo system, which comes with an auto volume leveler, which comes in handy when you are watching television when everyone else is trying to sleep. What happens is when you are watching a movie and the action scenes are much louder than the dialogue scenes, so you have to constantly adjust the volume, well, with the volume leveler, you won't have to do that anymore because the television will adjust the levels for you automatically!

Want to have to coolest computer monitor out of all of your friends, and family, well there is a PC video input that allows you to actually connect your computer to this massive screen. This will allow you to check your e-mail in true style. You will definitely be the envy of all your friends. There is also a plethora of input options, some of which include 1 S-video, 2 component video, 1 HDMI, 1 PC (D-sub) and two output, 1 A/V and 1 audio. This television truly gives you the flexibility and openness to make it truly yours.

Tis product is junk, spend the extra for a brand name, mine is just 1 year old and is already screwed, volume is stuck on max. Tried everything.

I like my 32" Insignia HDTV. Had to have it serviced once in less than a year but since it was under warranty & the cost to fix it was more than the cost of a new set, I was sent back to Best Buy and exchanged it even-up for a new identical set. Took nearly 3 weeks & several calls to get thru all the red-tape. My biggest complaint however is that I can't find the remote code for the set so I can program my universal cable remote. I currently have 4 remotes & two are universal. The one being for the set that I can't find a cable box remote code to enter into the tv remote.

Totally agreed. Just look at his other reviews of Insignia products. You're better off looking for some more objective reviews before you go out and spend your hard earned money.

I don't think this review is real. He just points out specs about the tv, none of which are out of the ordinary. No comparisons to other brands/tvs are made either. Also, this is pretty much word for word on any other tv by insignia he has "reviewed."

Called Insignia Today for customer support,on my Home theatre. Bad Bad Bad. Would never buy this brand again. Beware, Buy a larger name that treats you like a Real Person.

Im looking to buy an HDTV and Im thinking about the Insignia 26" LCD HDTV** (NSLCD26F), Im wanting it for gaming with a xbox 360, do you think its worth the $449.99?

I have the 27"HTV (Insignia) and I have satellite-Direct TV. I have been trying to set my TV onto the Satellite remote control, however, I have looked on the control listing in the Satellite setting control and your company is not listed on the TV code list. Can you help me determine if you have a code # and/or are you under a major name that would have a control list code?
