Some people spend a fortune on seminars and programs designed by so called "Real Estate Gurus" without realizing that the education they would be receiving would not be worth the high price tag. Don't get ripped off by these high priced programs anymore. Learn how to determine if a guru is the real deal or not and also learn how to find a wealth of real estate investing information for free.Is he for real?
Does the advertisement promise you the ability to live the high luxury life? Does the person brag about how rich they are and how they own a huge mansion or a yacht? Most sincere real estate teachers do not brag about their high lifestyle.
Does the person hype themselves up as being the best in the business? Are their personal claims a little over the top? Reputable gurus wont hype themselves up so much because they know the quality of their work and programs speak for themselves.
Does the so-called guru claim to have had no mistakes or failures in their real estate career? Real gurus will be willing to share their mistakes and what they learned from them.
Does he only hype up all the positives and not explain the risks? If he were legitimate he would be openly sharing information on all the risks and downsides as well as the upsides.
Is the material more motivational than directional? We all need a little motivation now and again, but some so called gurus sell you a program that is nothing more than a glorified advertisement to buy further materials. They wont give you the step by step how to directions unless you buy more and more courses. This is a definite red flag of a scam.
Does the person spend more time selling programs rather than doing what they preach? If the real estate investing techniques they have mastered are as successful as they claim, wouldn't he or she be spending most of their time doing it themselves? If they spend most of the time just selling you programs, then you know that is where there wealth came from, not from the real estate itself.
