The Transporter 2: Every Bit as Good as the First

The Transporter 2 stars Jason Stratham as Frank Martin, a professional dirver with a military background and a knack for getting into sticky situations. In this film, Frank is a driver for the secretary of state's child whom he drives to school for a day and back. Martin develops a chemistry with the child that is fun to watch as the two bond together. 

The film take off almost right away when Frank is ready to take the young boy to the hospital to have a checkup. There he is met by two criminals who work for actor Alessandro Gassman including his tall fierce girlfriend named Lola, played by actress Kate Nauta. 

At the hospital, Frank is barely able to escape with the boy from the doctors who are the criminals in disguise. However, when Martin drives the boy back to his parents, played by actor Matthew Bodine and Amber Valleta, his car is stopped by Lola who has a gun pointed at the boy. Gassman is able to take control of the boy. 

in a hilarious stunt, an explosive device is attacked to the bottom of Stratham's car. Seeing the device, he drives as fast as he can to remove the device before it is detonated. Driving his car off a hill, it is suspended in mid air as a giant crane detaches the device. It isn't at all realistic but most viewers won't care. The stunt is simply amazing. 

As the action continues, the FBI think Frank Martin is responsible for the kidnapping and Stratham has to find the boy himself. In the film he gets the help of his French inspecter friend who appeared in the first film as well. Stratham finally learns that Gassman's plan is to inject the boy with a deadly virus that spreads in the air so that it will kill other people like his father who is the secreatary of state. 

Stratham is able to track down a cure for the disease and saves the little boys life. However, more people get sick and Stratham still needs to find Gassman. Gassman's motivation for his crime is that he was paid by Columbian drug lords to kill U.S. politicians and to corner the market on the antivirus.
