Eat Out While Still Sticking to Your Weight Watchers Diet #1: Print Menu Lists

Online you can find menus for almost any restaurant imaginable. These menus will have the point's value for every food that the restaurant offers, even sauces and other condiments. It's important to keep these menus in your car, so that you always have them when you need them. This tip really does help you stick to your Weight Watchers diet by allowing you to choose entrees low in points.

Eat Out While Still Sticking to Your Weight Watchers Diet #2: Look for Weight Watchers Menus

Today it's easy to stick to your Weight Watchers diet when you eat out. Many restaurants now have entire pages of their menu devoted to the Weight Watchers diet. When you go out to eat, choose your entrée from this list. Not only will you receive a meal that meets your dieting needs, but there's a good chance it will be delicious as well.

Eat Out While Still Sticking to Your Weight Watchers Diet #3: Choose Fruit for Dessert

Instead of choosing ice cream, cake, or even pie choose fruit for dessert. Now not all restaurants will have fruit as an option, but it never hurts to ask. They may have a fruit salad, which would be perfect. Many fruits are low in point's making them the perfect dessert choice for your Weight Watchers diet.

Eat Out While Still Sticking to Your Weight Watchers Diet #4: Avoid Buffets

Buffets are never a healthy option when you eat out. Even if a buffet has healthy dishes, it doesn't help. If you eat three servings of a dish that has 8 points per serving, that's still 24 points. Stick with menu choices and you'll be more likely to only eat the points your body needs for that meal.

Eat Out While Still Sticking to Your Weight Watchers Diet #5: Choose Soup

Soups are almost always a healthy option for people on the Weight Watchers diet. When you eat out, you will need to avoid cream based soups, which will be high in points. Instead look for broth based soups. Broth based soups are not only low in points, but they help keep you full, while helping you stick to your Weight Watchers diet. Many restaurants will have a soup of the day, be adventurous and try it.

Hi Amy, Great article. You make great points. I like the ask for small portions part. I didn't know you could do that? I heard that the people who exposed Mcdonald's food as unhealthy are also going after the restaurant chains to serve small portions of food? I read this in a health magazine. Nicely done. Bye
