Paper napkin flowers can be made in an array of colors as well. The variety of colored paper napkins is limitless. You can find many colors of paper napkins in the party isle at any retail store. You can also use the napkins located on the isle with the toilet paper, paper towels, and paper plates.
Materials Needed for Making Paper Napkin Flowers
Package of paper napkins. You can use any color or a variety of colors of paper napkins to create your flowers.
Floral wire. The floral wire will be used to tie the napkins and make the stem of the flower. The floral wire will need to be a minimum of a foot long to tie around the paper napkins.
Wire cutters. You will need the wire cutters if you purchase the floral wire on a paddle to cut it off. If you choose to use chicken wire to create a larger decorative area you will need the cutters for this too.
Scissors. You will need to use the scissors to cut the seamed edges of the napkins.
Chicken wire. If you plan on making a larger area for decorating purposes you will need to use the chicken wire to tie the paper flowers onto. For instance, if you are using the napkin flowers on an arch you will need to cover the outside of the arch with the chicken wire. You will push the floral wire through the holes of the wire and twist tie it to the chicken wire. You then can use fabric to cover over the inside of the arch so the floral wire will not show.
Spray adhesive glue and glitter or spray paint. (Optional) You can add extra color to your paper napkin flowers by spraying glue on the flowers and sprinkling glitter on to the top of the flower. You can also use spray paint to add to or change the color of the paper flowers. It is best to do this part outside.
