Frank Sinatra, is to this day, is considered to be one of the greatest singers of all time. He's known for his beautiful ballads and his great rhythm songs. He was not only a great singer but a great actor, film
 producer, and publisher.

Francis Albert Sinatra was born on December 12, 1915 in Hoboken, New Jersey to Natalie and Anthony Martin Sinatra. The only child of Italian born parents, he attended Demarest High School in New Jersey. At Demarest, he organized the glee club and sang with the band, which performed at the dances as well as sponsored them. His earliest jobs were as a copyboy for a newspaper, a cub sports writer, and in 1933 he worked on a delivery truck for the New Jersey Observer.

In 1937, he and his band, known as the Hoboken Four, won first prize on the Major Bowes Original Amateur Hour. He then began his amazing career as a singer in a Hoboken Roadhouse.

He would eventually get discovered in 1939 by Harry James, while he was working in the roadhouse café. His recording debut with James and his band occurred on July of 1939 singing "From the Bottom of My Heart."

Sinatra would work with Tommy Dorsey and his orchestra and in 1942; they played a record breaking show at New York's Paramount Theatre. Right after the show he left to become the hottest singer in the world.

February 4, 1939, he married Nancy Barbato. They had four children, Frank, Nancy, Christine, and Wayne. They would however divorce, May 29, 1951; because she found out that Frank was involved with Ava Gardner who would later become his second wife.

On "Your Hit Parade", a popular radio and then television show in the 1940's, Frank would get the attention he so desired. Producers all over Hollywood had caught the show and this break would be the big one that would make him an idol to millions of teenage girls across America. In 1943, he officially began his career as a solo artist.
