Being touted as one of the scariest movies to emerge in a long time, guaranteed to leave a horrific imprint on viewers' psyches and catalyze nightmares, this film is not for the timid or weak or overly susceptible to fear. However, if you glean a perversely titillating pleasure from being terrified—or if you have an odd personal interest in the paranormal, demonic, or haunting—or if you are in the mood to get into the spirit of the Halloween season a little early, then Paranormal Activity just might be for you.

Subtitled 'Evidence of a Haunting', the film charts the increasingly distressing progression of one young couple's experience with an otherworldly disturbance.
