Tawny Kitaen Arrested, Sparks Search for Pictures of Whitesnake Video Vixen

Arrested for DUI, Tawny Kitaen's Pictures Become Search Trend

Tawny Kitaen pictures are the rage on the internet currently. Why? It seems that the video vixen/actress was arrested in Orange County for driving under the influence. TMZ reported that Tawny Kitaen was arrested around 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Newport Beach, California, when she was pulled over because officers suspected that the driver of the Range Rover was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Tawny Kitaen was released after posting $2,500 bail.

So, not only are people searching for current pictures of Tawny Kitaen, including her mugshot, they are also searching for older material.

Besides her bit role in the Tom Hanks b-movie "Bachelor Party," who doesn't remember Tawny Kitaen crawling across the hoods of those cars on Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again" video? If you do not, you might be a bit young. But relative youth does not matter, because music is timeless -- and so is a beautiful woman crawling across the hoods of luxury cars. Six million plus views on YouTube proves it. David Coverdale, Whitesnake's lead singer, was so impressed, he married Tawny Kitaen in 1989.

The marriage lasted until 1992. David Coverdale and Whitesnake would never again see the same type of success they scored from the 1986 eponymous album or the videos and singles generated from it. In a strange kind of parallel, Tawny Kitaen would never achieve the popularity she received while being associated with Whitesnake and the heavy metal community.

Tawny Kitaen, who is now 48, has also had a problem with running afoul of the law in recent years. Kitaen was arrested for drug possession in 2006. Facing up to three years for her cocaine possession charge, she opted for a six-month stint in rehab.

Tawny Kitaen also seems to have spent much of her time in and out of rehabs. She has entered the reality television arena of has-been performers that populate much of reality shows, starring in the "Surreal Life" in 2006 and the second season of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" in late 2008 (IMDb.com).
