Will the Real Charles Lindberg Please Stand Up?

The Greatest Show Trial of the 20th Century Lives On

Long before the O. J. Simpson trial, the "trial of the century" was the Lindberg baby kidnapping and murder case. The son of the most famous American family of the 20th century, (Colonel Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh) was kidnapped in 1932 and declared dead after being
missing for six weeks. The body (so badly decomposed that proper identification was not possible), was presented to Charles Lindberg. Mr. Lindberg identified the body as that of his missing son, even though witnesses question even the sex of the corpse. Bruno Haupmann, a carpenter, and German immigrant, who had some acquaintance with the Lindberg family, was tried and convicted in a media circus show trial. Mr. Haupmann was executed soon after his conviction. Forensic evidence of the child's corpse, and other evidence of the location of corpse have always been questioned. The child's body was cremated within hours of Charles Senior's posthumous identification.

In a stunning new development, seventy three years after these dramatic events, Charles A. Lindberg, Jr. has come forward to announce that he has, in fact survived. Charles Jr. has privately tried to prove his identity to his surviving brothers and sisters for a number of years. He first took a polygraph test from an accredited facility in 1979, the polygraph agent, declared the veracity of the testimony. The presumptive Charles Lindberg Jr, also has DNA evidence to back up his assertions.

At his present age of 76, Charles A. Lindberg, Jr. has little to gain by lying about his identity. Shadowy figures, who have perpetrated dis-information over the decades, are attempting a cover-up.

Money is the reason the Lindbergh's don't want to let others have a copy of their DNA. That is OK with me. The State of New Jersey Police and the FBI lifted CAL, Jr's fingerprints from his toys. Rita Witt sent me both copies. If you have forgot we are in the Computer Age and this makes it very easy to compare your finger prints. If you want to just know if Charles A. Lindbergh could be your biological father even if you are a girl write in your normal manner Charles A. Lindbergh. Your DNA is in control of your movements. If he is your biological father there will be a remarkable similarity

The Last Living Eye witness to the "lindbergh Kidnapping" TRAVELING DOWN MEMORY LANE The beginning of the most important portion of my life did not start until late spring or early summer in 1932, until I arrived at Ms Margaret Altis' home near Cabool, Missouri. Two women took me into her home and left me with her. She was a midwife who worked with Dr. Eden the local MD. At the time, she was living alone in a two room house. She had a barn with two cows and a chicken house with chickens. Presto, I became a member of a new family. I had a new father, mother, aunts, uncles and grandparents. I did know Ms Altis was going to rename me. My new name became Benny Nathan Altis. Benny was after her favorite son in law Bennie Street and Nathan after her brother. I really enjoyed being called Benny because Bennie Street looked liked my prior father and his nickname was also slim. There was no way under the sun I was going to spell my name ending in "i.e." because that is a girls nam

Why doesn't this story get some news time....I'm sure 20/20 or dateline could investigate this claim. If it is true , this could change history. I'm sure there's a movie or book in this story.....lets get out of Brittney's business and find out if this is the kidnapped Lindbergh baby....before he's dead and gone.

Another fascinating article. I'd like to hear more on this; I suppose the rest of the Lindburgh family would just as soon not know if this man is the real "Lindbergh Baby" but imo they should have to contribute some DNA. That's what was done with the alleged last of the Romanovs, and it was proved, rather sadly, that she was not the real thing. But if the son of Charles, Sr., and Anna lived - that's a story worth a book! Thanks for another great article!
