Friday's at Mazatlan are known as fajita Fridays. The restaurant offers special pricing during the lunch hours on its fajitas. Though I can speak from experience, whether you order them on Friday or any other day of the week you will not be sorry!
Mazatlan offers beef, chicken, shrimp, or mixed fajitas. They are served with a salad plate, which includes guacamole, Pico de calo, Mexican rice, lettuce, tomato, and refried beans. The fajitas are served on a sizzling cast iron skillet with soft hot tortillas.
The service at Mazatlan can sometimes be lacking. The restaurant is so busy that the servers are continuously running around. From time to time, you may have to wait for drink refills. The servers are all courteous and personable; however, with some of them there is a language barrier. If you speak Spanish, you will have no trouble at all, if you don't just make sure your server understands you.
Mazatlan is a favorite lunchtime spot for many businesses in Dickson County. Several businesses call ahead for orders to be ready at lunchtime. If you plan to visit Mazatlan during the lunch rush, just be patient. The great food will be worth the extra few minutes it takes.
I do not drink myself, but I do know that several folks visit the bar at Mazatlan to unwind with their margaritas after a hard day's work. Some of these folks have become regulars at the restaurant and are known by name. Whether you visit for the drinks or the food, you are sure to enjoy yourself in a great atmosphere.
