With filming for the new Sex and the City 2 Movie beginning this month in New York, the paparazzi has been out in full force trying to catch a glimpse of what's happening on the movie set. The highly anticipated sequel, which is due in theaters in May 2010, was written by Michael Patrick King and is said to be another must-see for fans of the series.
What follows is possible spoilers and plot lines for the upcoming movie, Sex and the City 2. Please do not read if you do not want to know the possible storylines in the movie.
It was reported last week that Hannah Montana herself, Miley Cyrus, will make a cameo in the film. According to the Huffington Post, Cyrus will film a red carpet scene with 50-something siren Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrell), in which they (gasp!) both wear the same designer dress. According to the Sex and the City 2 movie website (www.sexandthecitymovie.org), Cyrus will tentatively film her scene on October 16, 2009.
And speaking of Samantha Jones, pictures were published in US Weekly magazine showing Cattrall's character all decked out in a wedding gown. Does that mean Samantha Jones may finally be tying the knot? Or is it all just a dream? One thing is for certain-- even though Samantha dumped longtime beau Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) in the first Sex and the City movie, he is definitely playing some sort of role in the sequel. A glance at the Internet Movie Database page for the Sex and The City 2 movie shows Jason Lewis is indeed listed as part of the movie's cast. So Smith will be back- it's just not guaranteed if he'll be back with Samantha.
Some hilarious—or should I say hideous-- photos from the set have also leaked showing the Sex and The City 2 girls wearing some truly hideous 80's fashions. It what will surely be a flashback scene to the 1980's, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) have been photographed wearing things like Madonna-type bustiers, studded vests, and big 80's hairdos (oh, there's some preppy attire too).

You know, I loved the TV series, but the movie was a disappointment. This sounds absolutely horrid!
